Privacy Policy

Nestis ("the app," "we," "us") is a fasting timer and body tracker for iPhone. This policy explains what data the app uses, where it is kept, and your choices. In short: your fasts and journal are backed up privately in your own iCloud, your weight and body measurements stay on your iPhone, and we run no servers that hold your data.

What we collect

• Your fasting sessions, journal entries, and preferences. Start and end times, schedule goals, journal notes, and app settings (like your chosen theme and accent color) are stored on your device and, if you're signed into iCloud, backed up privately using Apple's iCloud/CloudKit. We do not have access to this data; it is stored in your personal iCloud account, encrypted and managed by Apple.
• Weight and body measurements. If you use body tracking, the weight, waist, hip and height you enter are stored only on your device, in a separate store that is excluded from iCloud. They are never sent to us. See "Health and body data" below.
• Energy and hunger ratings. The ratings you give after a fast are stored with your journal on your device and, if you're signed into iCloud, backed up privately with it.
• Purchase information. If you subscribe to Nestis Pro, purchase and subscription status is processed by Apple and our payments provider, RevenueCat, to verify your entitlement. This includes an anonymous purchaser ID and transaction data; it does not include your payment card details, which Apple never shares with us.
• Notifications. If you enable milestone or reminder notifications, the times you choose are stored on your device to schedule local notifications. These are scheduled entirely on-device, and we don't see when or whether you receive them.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data to anyone.
• We don't run third-party advertising or ad-tracking SDKs.
• We don't use analytics tools that build an advertising profile of you.
• We don't use your health or body data for advertising, marketing, or data mining, and we don't share it with anyone.
• We don't run servers that store your fasts, journal, weight, or health data.

Health and body data

Body tracking and Apple Health are optional, and the rest of Nestis works without them.

• What Nestis reads from Apple Health: weight, waist circumference, height, and sex. Height and sex pre-fill your Settings, and sex is used to choose the waist-to-hip target and the measuring guide.
• What Nestis saves to Apple Health: the weight, waist circumference, and height you log in the app.
• Your control: you choose each item in Apple's Health permission sheet, and you can change or turn off access at any time in the Health app, under Sharing → Apps → Nestis, or in Nestis under Settings → Body.
• How it's used: only to show your own charts, goal, and waist ratios on your iPhone. The waist-to-hip and waist-to-height targets are general guides and not a medical assessment.
• Where it's kept: weight and body measurements are kept on your iPhone in a store that is excluded from iCloud. Nestis does not send them to us, to RevenueCat, or to any other third party.
• If you use iCloud for Health: Apple may sync your Health data between your own devices, depending on your Health settings. That is controlled by Apple and Health, not by Nestis.
• Exports: a JSON backup or export you create includes your body entries. It is only created when you ask, and where it goes is up to you.

Apple Intelligence

On supported devices, Nestis can ask Apple's on-device model to write a short summary of your energy and hunger trends. This happens entirely on your iPhone, and nothing is sent to us or to any server. You can turn it off in Settings → Apple Intelligence.

Third parties

We use two services to operate the app:

• Apple (iCloud/CloudKit): stores and backs up your fasts, journal, and energy and hunger ratings privately in your own iCloud account. It does not hold your weight or body measurements. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat: manages subscription status for Nestis Pro. It receives purchase information only, and never your fasts, journal, weight, or health data. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

Your choices

You can export your data at any time from Settings, and delete all of your data by deleting the app and, if you wish, removing Nestis's data from Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage on your device. Deleting the app also removes the weight and body measurements stored on your iPhone. Anything Nestis saved to Apple Health stays in Health until you delete it there, in the Health app. Uninstalling the app does not cancel an active subscription; subscriptions are managed and cancelled through Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on iOS, or via the "Manage Subscription" link inside the app.

Children's privacy

Nestis is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
